From Boris Johnson to Nigel Farage, and George Galloway to Douglas Carswell, via Nigel Lawson, Michael Gove, Iain Duncan Smith and Neil Hamilton, the campaign to get the UK out of the EU has brought together some of the most colourful characters in British politics.

With this once-in-a-generation opportunity to free the UK from the grip of Brussels, you would think those pushing for Brexit would be working together in harmony to persuade Brits to vote Leave in this summer's referendum.

But as D-Day draws near, it seems the separate Leave groups are spending as much energy fighting each other as they are taking on the Remain campaign. From the massing of the UKIP foot soldiers after the general election, the Judean People's Front nature of the Leave groups, to the arrival of the Cabinet cavalry to the cause after Cameron's Brussels deal.
