The Pride
Alexi Kaye Campbell

Alternating between 1958 and 2008, and featuring the same three people, forever thirty-something, living similar but radically different lives, The Pride examines changing attitudes to sexuality over a period of 50 years, looking at intimacy, identity and the courage it takes to be who you really are.

An incredibly bold and mature first play, reminiscent of Noel Coward’s Design For Living and Kevin Elyot’s My Night With Reg, The Pride will spark painful twinges of recognition in all of us. Frequently dark and troubling, the play offers magnificent roles for its three main characters. It has been revived successfully at Sheffield since its London premiere and now returns triumphantly to the West End.
