Dr Elliot Taverley is a young psychoanalyst, intent on making a name for himself. Specialising in the controversial field of graphology, the study of handwriting, Elliot receives an unexpected visit from a man suffering from an extraordinary problem – Raphael Najevski changes personality when he copies another’s handwriting. Elliot is instantly intrigued by the man’s condition; treating him out of hours, Elliot gradually becomes more and more obsessed with the man and his mysterious disorder.
