Suetonius:The Caesars

This translation of Suetonius’ Caesars is based on the 1908 edition of Maximilian Ihm (Tevbner) and includes Suetonius’ biographies of twelve Roman rulers: The Divine Julius, The Divine Augustus, Tiberius, Gaius Caligula, The Divine Claudius, Nero, Galba, Otho, Vitellius, The Divine Vespasian, The Divine Titus, and Domitian. In total, the biographies of these twelve Roman rulers encompass about 188 years of Roman history during the period of change from republic to empire. Also included in this edition is an introduction, suggested further reading, a timeline, maps, family trees, a glossary, and an index of names commonly referenced in Suetonius’ writings.
