Seasonally Dry Tropical Forests: Ecology and Conservation

The central theses of this book are that tropical dry forests are extremely rich in biodiversity; they are seriously threatened; they represent scientific terrain still poorly explored; and increased understanding of this system’s basic ecology is urgent and current knowledge needs to be updated, improved, and disseminated. Several topics not covered elsewhere—conservation biology, restoration, the serious threats from human incursions, etc.—are taken up by contributors.
